Oh my goodness she is so natural. It's so refreshing. Love how she cleans up the bits in the counter tops and throws them on the floor 😂and how she gets breathless and sweaty, wiping herself with a cloth. Now THAT'S EXACTLY what happens when we Cook !!! Then you get Nigella Lawson cooking, make up as if she is going to the Ritz and smiling constantly that her jaws must kill her by the end of the shoot. Love, love, love Julia. Can anyone please tell me if she is still alive?

In 1964 when this debuted this was an interesting thing too watch on PBS stations on Saturday afternoon.  Despite being a "Junior Achievement Production" we took this seriously although my Hunkie parents found some of it laughable.  Years later, I've come to realize that she had very limited cooking ability but someone she knew at Boston Electric took her up on her lamebrained idea to do a show.

I think that Julia Child was a kind-hearted person who was a true expert at cooking. I admire her. I view videos of Julia Child to learn how to cook.

I so love Julia; every day I use her advice. She IS the epitome of good cooking. "Freshness is essential, it makes all the difference." As long as America exists, she will too. See: https://youtu.be/80ZrUI7RNfI

Sacré bleu! She's cooking on an electric stove-top! I learned to cook on a gas stove (which my mother always feared would blow up our house) and I find gas stoves much more reliable when it comes down to controlling temperatures. I wish I had one now...14:30 is so fun to watch! Go, Julia!

There was actually a reason people thought potatoes were poisonous years ago, it's a member of the deadly nightshade family but with potatoes they are only toxic if they are green below the skins, then you def don't want to eat them. Sure wish this wonderful woman was still with us!

It's so satisfying to watch someone performing their art without regard to how beautiful they are, how sexy, how intelligent.  Just simply showing and sharing their experience and love of what they are doing.

This was before the twice baked potato but love all these variations. Julia never lost her cool no matter what happened lol Usually there's a way to fix anything as long as it's not burnt. I'm not confident enough with my flipping skills but that's what two spatulas are for lol
