This is the second surgery in a patient who had an intervening twin pregnancy. She is ready to try again, (the boys are three now), and her symptoms are returning. The beneficial effects of pregnancy are visible. Her "extent of disease" is far less, and would be even more so, if she had gone on a "progestin dominant" form of birth control between pregnancies. As with this surgery, her previous surgery involved extensive lazer vaporization of endometriosis. Interceed surgical barrier permits extensive remodeling of these tissues without severe scarring.
