We had hundreds of ants on the floor of the house even when moped. You don't have to measure. This is how I got rid of the ants in the house.
Poured lots of sugar in a used water bottle, enough boric acid, and sugary kids juice. Tried both ways, little juice, more juice. Works both ways. Shake bottle. Puncture hole, put in a stick as a bridge for the ants. Placed out in the backyard where there are thousands along side of the wall. Now, after 3 days I have only seen 1 ant compared to hundreds in the house.

I started out using 1tsp to a 1/2 cup sugar and they came pouring out and after 48 hrs no slowdown at all. Changed the recipe to 1 tbls = 1/2 cup sugar and in less than 24 hrs down to nothing. Didnt use cotton balls though. My issue is inside , mixed sugar and boric acid together , nuked it to dissolve all the sugar , put the mix in lids along where they came and travel. I thought when I upped the mix they might not come back to the mix, but since they were already used to where to find it maybe I actually tricked them into it. Anyway the lids looked black and it was actually dead ants,,, hooray!

...failed to explain why there are two bottles of Roach powder sitting on the counter. A good tutorial doesn't make you read between the lines. Not to mention, I though boric acid came as a liquid, so not being dealt with at all is the source and strength of the boric acid.

I put it on paper towels, just rip a small piece of ppr towel off a sheet, soak it and toss it anywhere, just like you’re littering in you’re yard. The ppr towel biodegrades.

I tried this on meat ants numerous different ways, it did not work. They meat ant is an extremely strong and resilient ant, having multiple queens. I went on a year long attempt to try everything i could, hundreds of dollars in purchases local and international, spend time on the phone with ant experts and still had no success, felt like selling my property they were so bad, then i found a treatment that works! Here's my video for those who feel hopeless

I used this method inside my home, i noticed the water eventually evaporates after 24 hours and whats left is what looks to be like a sugar crystal residue. My question is once it does this are the ants then able to differentiate the sugar from boric acid?

Does this mixture work on crazy ants... And carpenter ants?
Crazy ants eats electrical & carpenter ants want sugar mainly.
I have both ants & I'm about to go crazy or move the hell out. I'm tired of them. They're everywhere inside of my house.

William, boric acid is not quite the deadly killer you make it out to be. Borax has been used for many centuries to enhance laundry detergent. It is used in cosmetics, some toothpastes, and in cooking (in some parts of the world -- not the U.S.A.). Kids mix it with Elmer's Glue at school to make "Slime." People mix it with water to make an anti-fungal foot bath. Yes, it is used for pest control against cockroaches, and it clearly does a number on ants.

Stop the paranoia. Boric Acid is NOT toxic to animals or humans in such small quantities. Its actually ingested by many people to help limit arthritis.

I purchased a my new home a month ago and found out that I had a bad ant problem. I used Raid Max and it worked on contact but the ants kept coming back. I found your video and tried your solution for three days and the ants came pouring out onto the cotton balls dipped in the solution. Now I can't find an ant anywhere in my house or outside my house after a week! You saved me a helluva lot of money man thank you so much!

You can also use BORAX. Then use small plastic soda bottles with the solution inside and place a brick or rock on it to hold it in place, ants can get in but dogs/cats/etc. can't!

NO POISON PLEASE ! ! ! How about this... ground corn... aka: corn meal. (I put corn kernel in the blender to make the cheapest cornmeal). Sprinkle it on the mound... not to heavy not too light. Let them eat up. Some days later do that again... you might have to do it a 3rd time. You notice the ants are smaller in size after the first one... the older ones die off first !

It really does work I was told to use Boric acid & jelly but the way u suggest seems easier plus you have a lot extra for another time. It's crazy to see how they swarm all over it at first I was mad because it was in my house but about 2 days later NO ANTS AT ALL!! Thanks a lot

You were absolutely correct to quote the label of the products you used on camera - but the MSDS has more information reference the actual toxicity and possible - repeat, possible - effects to children or pets of that active ingredient, as a name brand. Folks seem to think - erroneously - that anything good, as far as pesticides particularly, must be dangerous to people as well as insects in order to be a good and effective product. Yours is easy to make and apply - and as a sodium salt, boric acid simply dessicates the exoskeleton of the pests. Boric Acid is absolutely the best and safest ant and roach control product, hands down, I repeat. Another salt, in the same family as Boric Acid, a sodium salt - disodium octaborate tetrahydrate - aka DOT - is deadly to termites, mold, rot, ants, roaches in a 24% water solution. Yep, it's cheap as heck. Big pest control doesn't like this fact, and wiped me out. Completely. Anyway, kudos!

As an ex pest control product manufacturer, I can tell you, without a doubt, boric acid is the safest ant and roach control active ingredient there is. Your worries about your animals and children touching it are unfounded. I promise. My products have kept my home roach and ant free for about 10 years now, following a single heavy application. No joke. The last thing in the world I would do is harm my pets or kids - or advise anyone else to do so. Calm down! You have a great home made product.

At the 2:07 mark, you have an inset caption that describes the ingredients, among which is 1 tbsp boric acid. "tbsp" is the abbreviation for "tablespoon", not "teaspoon" as you say in your video. I believe you meant to type "1 tsp".

I've got an ant problem inside. I tried a little different mix but it isn't working. I'm using Eaton's Answer Boric Acid, I tried a 6:1 mix, that didn't do anything. Went to 3:1 for over a week, still don't see any dead ants. I then went to 1:1 mix and it's about day 2 on that and still no dead ants. I am not using this much water, I just poor in 2 tablespoons of the boric acid then add a few drops of water until it's completely dissolved, then I add 2 tablespoons of sugar, and this is in a styrofoam cup with a lid and a large hole in side. This doesn't harden like it will with too much water, stays soft so they can still eat it. But I don't understand why it's not working. It's completely mixed up together and 1:1 mix, there's a constant dinner line to and from, hundreds of ants, so they're carrying it back to nest. I am so frustrated they just won't die!
