Idea for multiplayer series: split the whole server into teams.

Each team has the goal of constructing their own fleet of ships, and bases and such.

Then end the series with a bunch of pvp battles in space

You've helped me a lot man and seeing you do it along with explaining every detail even if you aren't using every detail, has been great, thank you. I'm going to continue watching the series because I'm learning a lot and I enjoy playing along with building my own along with you building yours. Good stuff and keep it up. (says this as a connector floats off into space) - that is the major reason i do not agree with using autopilot to dock, im more interested in its applications as a drone recon / base defense patrol gunship.

i wonder if you could use a piston that extends out to the ship. that way you can just way point to park and have the piston extend and attach to try not to do damage. plus it would look cool.

For some reason when I build a ship with autopilot it will rotate until it's facing the way point, but never move forward... anyone else have this problem or know a solution? I have 6 thrusters, a remote control block, an antenna, and some timers(which never trigger because the ship never moves towards the point).

I'm not sure but I noticed in the production tab that you can switch to Blueprints? Might it be that you can just add the blueprint and it will calculate and produce all that is needed for that specific blueprint without having to check all the time what's missing?

Built my first ever PC a week ago. 4 weeks on YT studying every 'How to guide', picked apart the PC-Part-Picker website for research, went to reddit for all the info I could get, searched online for the best prices for each component. Then put the whole damn thing together when the delivery showed up. It was an emotional ride, a little over my budget and daunting to say the least. Seeing all those PC components on the table in front of me. But dammit, games like Space Engineers made it all worth it. Love this series dude. You got yourself a new subscriber.

Not sure if you've already fixed the docking or not yet but an easy solution would be to have the timer turn on the connector instead of the auto pilot and then trigger a second timer with a second or two delay that triggers the link, that way the ship won't get snapped into place by the connectors and shouldn't take any damage from docking

I think the reason why the welder's auto pilot wasn't working that well was cause the remote block was not centered to the ship. So when it rotates, the remote block gets moved away from the GPS point.

Two tips. On your station, put an advanced rotor, and make an L shaped short arm with a connector at the end. This will act as suspension so your autodocking won't crash the connectors all the time. Works fine with a 1000 ton miner, or a small miner.
To keep a steady speed and direction while minining, you can turn on truster overide on one of the forward or backward trusters (not much, just so it is more the 0). This will disable inertia dampeners on forward/backward motion, while keeping it on in the other directions. I found 1ms good for normal mining, and about 3-4 ms for rightclick mining. Might wanna put control of the overridden truster down to the hotbar, in case you want to stop....Works well for slow speed "sailing" too, since it gives more control over the ship rather then just turning all the dampeners off.
And.. well.. you may want to get a clear camera overlay mod.. I mean, we have autopilots, jump drives, mobile refineries etc, but a simple cloth to clear a camera lense.. uhm..

Last episode you missed one block that my OCD demands I point out. Under the set of 3 thrusters on the left side of the ship, behind your set of 3 reactors you added. You missed one armor block under the rear most thruster. You placed it on the right side, but not the left. Now that that is out of the way, enjoying the series, keep up the awesome work.

have the timer block turn the connector on/off before it auto docks because the mass of the ship + the connector strength causes problems, you'll save energy too! :D

Hey Dire, Just so you know currently in the latest patch any block involving oxygen except the basic generator is bugged pretty hard. Tanks won't function at all and vents work only when they want to. Just thought I would pass this on before you spend hours trying to get them to work like me!
